1. Create a Meta account#

1.1 Register Meta#

  • First, please sign up for a Facebook personal account.

  • Please use a fixed VPN, fixed IP address, and fixed device for registration and login. Avoid account blocking.


1.2 Log in Meta#


2. Create Meta Apps and Ad Units#

2.1 Create Apps#

  • Go to “My Apps” and click “Create App”.

  • App Type: Please select “Game” for game products and “None” for non-game products.

2.2 Create Meta Commerce Management Platform#

Click on the app you have created, enter the control panel interface, scroll down to “Add products to app”, click “Settings” to enable Audience Network for this app.

2.3 Create Meta Assets#

Follow the steps to create a new property and click "Next"

2.4 Create Meta Apps#

1)Create an app in the asset

Each app can only correspond to one asset. If the app was once created in another asset, it must apply to the Meta's docker to be unbound from the original asset before the app can continue to be created in the new asset.

2) Then follow the steps to fill in the relevant information

3) For the Mediation platform, select "a different mediation platform”


Product on the shelves:

  • Already on the shelves: Select “The application has been on the shelves” and fill in the link, there are 48 hours of audit time, after passing can be used. (The status of Ad units will be green after approval)
  • Not on the shelves: select “Application is not on the shelves”, but if you want to start generating revenue, you have to be on the shelves and pass the audit (so you can configure FB after the application is on the shelves).

2.5 Create Ad placements#

  1. Enter the created propert and create an ad space If the app has not been reviewed, please submit the app URL, payment info and other information, the app will enter the review, and you can check whether the review is successful after a period of time

Note1: At present, Meta has been into the fully Bidding stage, ad placement does not need to configure the floor price

3. Configure on TradPlus#

  1. Find the corresponding ad placement ID at the Meta

  1. Fill the Meta ad placement ID into the TradPlus platform

Note: To configure the Bidding ad source, you need to enable the Header Bidding option when adding an ad source at TradPlus background

4. Enable Meta's Report API Reporting#

  1. Enter into Monetization Manager-Integration-Properties, select the corresponding property, click "Generate token", and get the Property ID and System User Token

  1. Fill in the property ID and System User Token into TradPlus platform

5. Floor Price Setting#

Meta has entered into fully bidding stage, and there is no need to set floor price

6. Test Ads#

Meta is highly sensitive to test traffic, and frequent testing will increase the risk of being judged as traffic cheating, resulting in current restrictions and even account bans.

It is recommended to add a test device for ad testing to avoid account ban due to test traffic.

How to get IDFA/AAID?

  • IOS

Currently, Apple does not display IDFA by default on iOS devices. However, you can retrieve it using a third-party app. Please check the App Store for apps that retrieve ad IDs, or programmatically look up the IDFA.

  • Android

On Android devices, you can find the Ad ID in the device settings. Here's how:

Q: What to do if TradPlus platform shows that Meta authorization failed?#

  1. In Business Setting-Account-App, select the corresponding App, click "Add People", select MediationSystemUser and open the permission of "Develop App", and click "Assign"

  1. In Business Setting-Data Sources-Properties, select the corresponding App, click "Add People", select MediationSystemUser and open the permission of "Integrate Proeperty", and click "Assign"

  1. In Business Setting-Users-System Users, select the MediationSystemUser and click "Generate new token".

Select the corresponding App, tick "read_audience_network_insights" and then click "Generate token", copy this token and fill it at TradPlus

Q: Can non-game products be monetized using Meta's rewarded videos?#

No, developers need to apply to the Meta AM, and the review threshold is high.

Q: Meta's PID is suddenly not filled, what to do next?#

When it is found that the original normal ad placement suddenly drops significantly, such as a sudden drop in filling, CPM etc., you can first check whether the Meta account has received a violation notification, find the direction of investigation, and quickly locate the problem.

Check out at Meta Platform:

  • Check if there is a warning in the account notification center, please confirm the warning content;

  • Check the color of the ad placement status, green is normal, yellow is abnormal, you need to check the warning content further;

  • Use "Quality Check" to see the quality of the ad (green-pass, yellow-dangerous, red-fail). For unqualified placements, you can click the Insights page to view the specific reasons that affect filling.

Please locate the specific violation content according to the specific reasons, and then file an appeal against the placement after solving the problem on each placement.

Note: Violations at multiple ad spaces will result in account bans.

Note: If the IOS app is created normally and the online link has been filled in on Audience Network, but there is still no fill, you can check whether the product logo and name at Meta are abnormal. If the product name is "—", you can contact Meta online customer service or Meta AM to add whitelist.

Q: What should I do after an app or ad space is banned by Meta?#

  1. Check whether you have received an alarm email, please modify your app according to the email, and file an appeal.

  2. If the content of your appeal email is unclear, or the app is still blocked after modification, please contact customer support on the official website:

Meta common alarm content and causes

  • Invalid traffic: Meta is highly sensitive to test traffic. Frequent testing and clicking on test ads will increase the risk of being judged as traffic cheating, resulting in traffic throttling and even account bans.

  • Ad integration quality issues: Violations can occur for a variety of reasons, such as the content of the app, the way ads are integrated, or third-party software integrated. Make sure your ads are integrated in a way that drives quality traffic.
