Traffic Allocation

1. Functions​

  • Some developers buy volume in Max and use Max to realize cash. However, for users from outside the Max channel, developers want to access the TradPlus SDK to realize their revenue through refined operation.

  • In order to facilitate developers' access to both platforms at the same time, TradPlus provides a flexible volume sharing tool to share users from outside the Max channel to TradPlus.


2. Usage scenes​

  • Assign users acquired through the Applovin channel to Max.

  • Allocate users not acquired through Applovin to TradPlus on a pro-rata basis.


3. Usage guides​

1）In [Advanced settings] - [Traffic Allocation], click [Create Rules].


2）Assigned Channel Allocation

  • When you need traffic from a channel to be realized through a specific aggregator, you can choose to “Enable” Specify Channel Distribution.
  • For example, if a user who buys traffic from Max needs to realize it through Max aggregation, then turn on this item.

3）Other Traffic：Configuring the Traffic Distribution Ratio

Meaning of “Other Traffic”:

  • Traffic other than the specified channel traffic when that channel allocation was turned on in the previous step. For example, if you specified Max channel traffic to be allocated to Max aggregation, the “Remaining Traffic” refers to the rest of the traffic other than the Max channel.
  • When Specified Channel Allocation was turned off in the previous step, the Other Traffic here refers to all traffic.

Allocation DimensionsSupport to select “User” and “App Launch” dimensions: user: a user assigned to an aggregator tool will be fixed to use that aggregator. App Launch: an aggregator tool will be assigned by probability after each app launch, and the aggregation will always be used during this app use, but will be assigned to other aggregator tools by probability on the next launch.

4）Associated apps: check the applications that require componentization


5）Name the component rules, confirm that the information is correct, and then click Save


4. Best Practices​

4.1 Practice 1: Assign channels to distribute traffic​

4.1.1 Usage scenes​

Need to assign traffic from Max channel to Max and all remaining traffic to TradPlus.


4.1.2 TradPLus configurations​

  1. Assign channel assignment

  • “Assign Channel Assignment” status: Select “On”.

  • “User Channel”: Enter a customized Max channel number, such as “channel_max”.

  • Select “Max” for “Assignment Aggregator”.


2）Other Traffic

  • “Allocation ratio": 100% for TradPlus; 0% for Max.

  • “Allocation dimension”: Users (you can also select “ App Launch” according to your actual needs).

3）Select Associate Apps and name the component rule.


4.2 Practice 2: Assign traffic to a specified channel and distribute the remaining traffic proportionally​

4.2.1 Usage scenes​

Need to allocate traffic from the Max channel to Max and the rest of the traffic to TradPlus and Max in a 7:3 ratio.


4.2.2 TradPLus Background Configuration​

  1. Assign Channel Assignment

  • Status of “Assign Channel Assignment”: Select “On”.

  • “User Channel”: Enter a customized Max channel number, such as “channel_max”.

  • Select “Max” for “Assignment Aggregator”.


2）Remaining traffic allocation

  • “Allocation ratio”: 70% for TradPlus; 30% for Max.

  • “Allocation dimension”: users (you can also choose “application startup” according to your actual needs).


3）Select Associate Application and name the component rule.


4.3 Practice 3: Proportionate Traffic Distribution without Specifying Channel Distribution​

4.3.1 Usage scenes​

There is no need to differentiate between channels to distribute traffic, i.e. all traffic is distributed proportionally.


4.3.2 TradPLus Background Configuration​

  1. Assign Channel Assignment
  • Status of “Assign channel assignment”: Select “Off”.


2）Remaining traffic allocation

  • “Allocation ratio”: 50% for TradPlus; 50% for Max.

  • “Allocation dimension”: User (you can also choose “Application startup” according to your actual needs).

3）Select Associate Application and name the component rule.
